How this guide works
- TDLR lists ten individual electrician categories that normally need four hours per renewal. Contractor and Residential Appliance Installer licenses do not require CE for those licenses.
- Apprentice and sign-apprentice licensees may use enrollment in a TDLR-registered apprenticeship program as the alternative.
- Instruction must fall within the renewed license term, cover the required subjects and come from an approved provider.
- Repeating the same course or completing only part of it does not earn credit.
- For multiple licenses, check the applicable terms. Expired or special situations and uncertain answers are referred to TDLR.
A positive result means the course may fit; it does not approve your renewal. Confirm current approval, your license term and course history before buying.
